Maximise Giving
You will implement a philanthropic giving strategy that significantly shifts the museums approach towards the generation of substantial philanthropic income and that supports the Museum's vision and mission. You will work collaboratively with the Executive, Board of Trustees and senior leadership team to establish a long-term plan and supporting fundraising strategies that align and help the museum move forward with its objectives.
Cultivate and Steward Donors
You will actively cultivate and steward relationships with potential and existing donors, for major new, repeat and legacy gifts, significantly raising the profile of Beamish, generating excitement and a desire to support Beamish now and into the future across a range of projects. These will be supported by stewardship plans that foster mutual trust to secure ongoing support.
Reputation and Engagement
You will build the profile of the Museum through donor engagement. You will personally manage a portfolio of prospective donors, guiding them through the cultivation process, and ultimately securing new funding. You will work closely with the CEO building new networks, opening new doors and linking with communities in support of the museum's philanthropic goals and furthering its reputation and that of the sector.
Successful Philanthropy Team
You will ensure a high performing team is in place that supports Beamish’s Philanthropic strategy, imbuing a culture of innovation and enterprise across the museum. The team will ensure day to day delivery of the function, including to trusts and grants, provide excellent customer service, and produce timely data to support and measure the impact of all giving. The team will champion equality, diversity and sustainability and creating a strong culture of philanthropy throughout Beamish.
Essential Qualities, Experience and Knowledge
- Significant experience working at a senior level, building strong relationships with supporters who can give at a six/seven figure level.
- Demonstrable extensive networks, including trusts and foundations, corporate partners and high net worth individuals.
- Personal track record of securing six figure donations from Trusts and Foundations
- An excellent communicator who can inspire staff, volunteers and colleagues in taking our philanthropic strategy forwards.

Main duties and responsibilities
· Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with individual donors to maximize financial support and our community of supporters.
· Plan and execute individual giving campaigns, across all available communication channels to engage donors effectively.
· Identify, organise and coordinate donor and community events, creating opportunities to engage, retain and celebrate supporters.

· Strategy: play a part in assisting the Head of Fundraising and Chief Executive in developing the Fundraising Strategy, budget and targets in line with the charity’s Strategic Plan.

Ideal skills and experience:
· Experience in generating income from all or one or two of the following: individual, community and events fundraising.
· Excellent written communication skills with a proven ability to write compelling stories and innovative content for fundraising campaigns.
· A strong understanding of the importance of knowing your supporter base to maximise income through effective donor communication and engagement.
· Strong data management and analysis skills
· Good knowledge of current data protection/GDPR regulation.
· Good working knowledge of CRM databases and how to utilise to steward supporters.
· Good level of administrative and organisational competency
· Good IT skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office, databases (currently Donorfy and Act!)

BACKGROUND
The Helen Bamber Foundation is a human rights organisation with an international reputation for providing medical consultation, therapeutic care, legal protection, and practical support to survivors of trafficking and torture. We are a team of therapists, doctors, lawyers, caseworkers and administrators who help men, women and children recover from the emotional and physical damage they have suffered because of torture, human trafficking, or other forms of cruelty.
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
As Psychotherapist within the Helen Bamber Foundation, you will work alongside our current Senior Psychotherapist and be responsible for supporting the Head of Therapies and the Team Manager in providing a comprehensive range of therapeutic interventions to clients of the Helen Bamber Foundation.
In addition to providing psychotherapy, stabilization, psychoeducation, and trauma focused therapy, this role will include delivery of psychological assessments for both medico-legal and clinical purposes, as well as delivery of clinical supervision to staff from non-clinical backgrounds who nonetheless have significant client contact, and supervision of assistant psychologists. As you develop in the role you will also have opportunities to contribute to the on-going development of the service and at times, the role may include input into policy, research and fundraising and delivery of consultancy and training.
We are looking for someone who is committed to working therapeutically with individuals who have experienced human rights abuses and who have developed trauma spectrum disorders as a result. The successful applicant will ideally have proven experience in working therapeutically with this client group, have a passion for human rights work beyond the individual client work, and a desire to contribute to effecting change at a policy level. This role requires the ability to be with the complex and sometimes harrowing details of a client’s experience, and to react and respond creatively and appropriately to their needs.Additionally, you will be knowledgeable and experienced in consultation and assessment including risk management, and have competence, or a commitment to receiving training, in at least one model of trauma therapy such as NET or EMDR.

The Role:
The Chief Officer will lead and manage Citizens Advice St Helens (CASH) while developing and implementing strategic and operational plans. Responsible for delivering strategic development through the effective management and development of services, the Chief Officer will build strong and sustainable relationships with key stakeholders at a strategic, national, regional, and local level.
They will work collaboratively with the staff team and board to ensure there is an inclusive, rights-based approach to work that also conforms with the requirements of the Charity Commission, Companies House and HMRC. The Chief Officer is responsible for the economic viability, financial welfare, and sustainability of the charity, as well as driving and nurturing the staff team to continue delivering quality standards across the organisation.
To be considered for the Chief Officer role at CASH, you must be a proven leader and manager with experience working within a senior management team. This role will require someone with a demonstrable track record of innovation and success in business development and income generation, able to engage funding bodies and donors, as well as creating strong and successful content for winning contracts/grants. Your experience will be underpinned by excellent communication skills at both a strategic level within and outside the organisation, coupled with excellent resourcing methods.
In a senior leadership role, it's typical to hold budgetary responsibility and possess broad financial management experience. Considering the nature of Citizens Advice St Helens' work, we expect you to have a comprehensive understanding of the advice sector and experience with equity, diversity, and inclusion best practices. Additionally, you must demonstrate an awareness and understanding of the issues faced by residents in St Helens, such as poverty, unemployment, and health challenges. The successful candidate will work with the Head of the Gambling Action Lab (GAL) and the Senior Research Officer to bring together a handful of representatives from financial services firms to explore ways to reduce gambling-related financial harms. They will build and maintain stakeholder relationships and play a key role in facilitating group discussions with financial services representatives. About LMK
Good relationships shape our health and happiness, yet we are taught so little about them. LMK is a registered education charity on a mission to change that. We run workshops educating young people about healthy and unhealthy behaviours, so that they can avoid abuse and thrive in relationships.
Using film and guided discussions, our workshop leaders support children and young people in honest conversations about relationships and leave them better equipped to spot the early warning signs of abuse and inspire them to enjoy healthy, fulfilling relationships. We explore the 10 signs of healthy and unhealthy relationships and include practical lessons young people want to learn about (like consent) and practice scenarios in a safe, supportive and non-judgmental environment.
LMK is a learning organisation and prides itself in supporting leaders to develop their skills. We offer training and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) opportunities, as well as peer-to-peer learning and reflective practice sessions.
Job Description
LMK is looking for passionate and organised educators (LMK Leaders) to run community workshops, aimed at young people aged between 11 and 24. Through engaging, relatable, workshops you will help young people identify signs of healthy and unhealthy relationship behaviours, provide strategies for them to recognise the early warning signs of abuse and give them tools to keep themselves and their friends safe.
The minimum hours required per workshop is 3 hrs. This includes arriving 30 minutes before delivery, 1.5 to 2 hrs delivery and then remaining back 10 minutes and being accessible to young people who would like further information or a one-to-one conversation, surrounding the subject of relationships.
There is also 30 minutes admin, which is usually completed off-site, such as inputting student surveys and a Leader survey.
Responsibilities

Always adhere to LMK and partner safeguarding practices and procedures.

Respond to comms (emails/WhatsApp) sent out by LMK core team members, in a timely manner, to support planning and organising of sessions.

Meet with co-facilitators to carry out pre-session planning, minimum two working days before delivery.

Plan and deliver interactive LMK workshops in educational, sports and community settings in line with LMK delivery style and ethos.

Use your experience and knowledge of the issues affecting young people to tailor the workshops accordingly.

Ensure all youth participants and the adults in school/community organisations who attend a LMK workshop complete the post session feedback surveys.

Complete reflective post session Leader surveys to support practice and programme development, after each workshop.

Debrief with LMK’s Programme Manager and provide ongoing feedback about your sessions, through LMK’s reflective practice processes.

Undertake relevant training associated with LMK’s work including but not restricted to child protection, safeguarding, violence against women and girls (VAWG).

Continue to learn about and develop your skills on the issues affecting young people’s relationships including domestic violence, abuse, adverse childhood experiences, trauma informed practice, gang culture and grooming, mental health, sexual exploitation, consent, sharing of nudes /sexting, bullying in person and online, tech and online safety, pornography.

Provide feedback and co-design training and educational resources on issues affecting young people and their relationships, including opportunities to share your knowledge and expertise at peer-to-peer learning sessions.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
